01 — Nervous System
Your Nervous System is made up of more than 100 billion nerve cells, it releases information from the brain to the body and back. Regular bodywork helps enforce neural pathways that encourages nerve cells to reiterate information that emphasizes reduced stress.
02 — How often should I come?
Baseline for maintenance is once a month, however, when navigating deeper/louder muscular or fascial issues, more frequent visits may be more helpful initially. You wouldn’t go without getting an oil change, why would you neglect the body you use on a daily basis?
03 — How much is too much pressure?
Deep tissue work should never be above a 7 on your own personal pain scale (from 1-10 with 10 being the most pain). When it goes above a 7, you don’t receive the therapeutic benefit and your therapist ends up working too hard. Another way to tell if it’s too much pressure is if other parts of your body start to tense up. Always tell your therapist if the pressure is too much.
